There are many different approaches to mental health therapy and it is vital that you find a therapist whose approach connects with you. My practice focuses primarily of trauma work. Many people believe trauma is a singular negative events that occurs in our lives but trauma is not the event, it is our response to them. It is how our body copes and processes them that leads to how they affect our lives. Traumatic events can be a catastrophic or they can be everyday experiences that affect us deeply over time. For example, growing up in a home where parents often yell at one another can lead to lasting negative thought patterns, belief systems, and behaviors. We all have trauma and learning the root cause of these patterns can bring healing and understanding to us in a way that can lead to lasting change.
1
EMDR
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing, is a highly effective evidence based approach designed to alleviate the distress associated with traumatic memories and adverse life experiences. EMDR uses bilateral stimulation, such as side-to-side eye movements or bilateral tapping, to help individuals process and reframe distressing memories. EMDR is recognized for its success in treating conditions like PTSD, anxiety, and depression.
2
Internal Family Systems
(IFS) is a transformative psychotherapeutic model that believes we are all made up of different parts or subpersonalities, each with its own unique characteristics and emotions. Some of these parts can act as protectors that help us protect ourselves from traumatizing memories or from feeling similar emotional pains to those we experienced in the past. Developed by Richard Schwartz, IFS explores the dynamics between these internal "parts" and aims to help us understand and integrate conflicting aspects of ourselves and unburden wounded parts so as not to continue carrying the pain they've held on to for so long.

Safe and Sound Protocol
(SSP) is an evidence-based listening protocol designed to reduce sound sensitivities and improve auditory processing, behavioral state regulation, and social engagement behaviors through filtered music. SSP is a practical application of the Polyvagal Theory developed by Stephen Porges and acts as a non-invasive, acoustic vagal nerve stimulator, helping to re-tune the nervous system to better support connection, collaboration and resilience.

Ketamine Assisted Therapy (Coming Soon)
(KAT) is an emerging and innovative approach to mental health treatment that utilizes the dissociative anesthetic ketamine under the guidance of trained mental health professionals. Administered in a controlled clinical setting, ketamine induces altered states of consciousness that can facilitate profound introspection and emotional exploration. Known for its potential to rapidly alleviate symptoms of depression, anxiety, and PTSD, Ketamine Assisted Therapy offers a unique and promising avenue for individuals seeking transformative mental health interventions. At its core SSP involves listening to specially filtered music that sends cues of safety to your nervous system and helps to build a foundation of awareness, embodiment, and resilience.

Accelerated Resolution Therapy
(ART) is a cutting-edge psychotherapeutic approach designed to efficiently treat trauma and various mental health conditions and is closely related to EMDR. Developed by Laney Rosenzweig, ART incorporates elements of traditional psychotherapy with eye movements similar to those used in EMDR, along with guided imagery and memory reconsolidation techniques. Known for its swift effectiveness, ART empowers individuals to reprocess distressing memories, alleviate emotional burdens, and cultivate positive changes in a relatively brief period.
